You do realize that seashells on mountaintops can be explained by the fact that the limestone deposits that form in the oceans used to be thick and that freshwater has dissolved much of the limestone revealing the seashells. Because the tops of the mountain erode and cover the sides in rubble the top is actually reviling older rock than that of the sides or bottom which still may have topsoil.
