A. That's used to get past content indexing. Many anti-spam programs are set to look at the content of the message, to figure out if the message is meaningful. For example, it's easy to filter out a message based on it containing "Viagra," "hardcore" or the like. The problem is, there are plenty of messages that use those words legitimately, so you can't just kill messages on the basis of them containing those words. Instead, using the same sort of grammar checker that Word and similar programs use, some spam filters look at a sentence to see if it has grammatical / sytactical constructs that look like real sentences. If so -- in other words, if the sentence has a noun, a verb, some adjectives and adverbs, and they all appear in the… [cont.]
